Andrew loves running outdoors or hopping on the elliptical if he wants to catch up on books/magazines or newspapers/ email. I don’t know how he does it simultaneously! My favorite fitness routine is our Peloton bike. It’s the only exercise I’ve found where I can truly zone out and focus on nothing but the workout because you have to pay attention to every call-out from the instructor. I’m also super competitive so I keep the leader boards on, set goals and find people to race! As a busy mom, the on-demand workouts are my jam. I don’t have to coordinate child care, drive to a studio or wait for a class to start. There is a workout for every mood and every time window!
However, when I was a new mom and trying to manage sleep schedules, fitness routines and building a new community for Elliott and me, I was so lucky to (literally) run into Stroller Strides put on by Fit4Mom. It was AMAZING! I could jog down to the beach, hang out with other moms and babes and get a great workout. If a baby gets fussy, it’s no big deal! You modify your work out depending on your baby’s needs or one of the instructors – also moms – will pick up/rock/calm your baby to give you a break and let you get your sweat on while they indulged a baby fix! So many cities have them – highly recommend!

When you find workout shoes that feel good, you stick to them! Andrew and I both love Asics. I am actually on my third pair of Asics, the GEL-Kayano 25 model. Andrew has also been hot on the super-cushioned Hoka One Clifton 5, especially for his outdoor runs.
