Davey & Browne Cabernet Sauvignon
Davey & Browne represents the culmination of a long, enduring friendship between noted Australian wine luminary Kym Davey, who has a passion for motorbikes, and American wine entrepreneur Andrew Browne, an avid fly fishing enthusiast. This rich, handcrafted McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the finest fruit of the prestigious Godon and Bitner block, aimed in honor of Kym and Andrew’s grandfathers, in the Davey Estate vineyard. Deep, ripe black berry flavors create a complex and harmonious balance of long, slow maturation and oak integration.
2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting Note
Vibrant purple-red in color, this bold Cabernet leads with aromas redolent of cassis and blueberry, enhanced with subtle cedary oak, floral notes and hint of mint. The rich, harmonious mid-palate is filled with the flavours of ripe dark blackberry and boysenberry, elegantly framed with the vanilla and cashew nuances that derive from the maturation of French oak hogsheads. An intensely varietal, full-bodied McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon, full of flavour, balance, texture and length.
