Aromas of dried herb and black fig lead to flavors of black coffee, fig compote and brandied cherries. Savory with chalky tannins this wine finishes with sweet vanilla bean, white chocolate, and toasted oak. This is a great wine to sit in the hot tub on a cold winter’s night and will pair well with strong cheeses, spicy Mexican or Asian dishes, organ meats like liver or heart, or anything that has big and over-the-top flavors.
